Kids in Ballarat are being asked what they think about the city during Children's Week which is on now and runs until Sunday.

Children under the age of 14 make up about 20% of Ballarat's population which is more than 20,000 people.
City of Ballarat Chief Executive Janet Dore says the consultation is about creating a child friendly city.

“The City of Ballarat is engaging with local children in meaningful consultation about their future as part of our commitment to be a child friendly city.”

“As a proud signatory to the Child Friendly Cities and Communities Charter, we are committed to ensuring Ballarat’s children are active and engaged citizens in our community and that their voices are heard and valued," Ms Dore said.

The consultation period will run until November 13th. To submit your ideas or for more details visit
