Test results still timely in Ballarat

Despite reports of coronavirus test results taking up to 10 days to come back in Melbourne because of the testing blitz, Ballarat's testing facility says its business as usual.

Danielle Tresize from UFS says results from the Lucas clinic are usually back within 2 to 3 days.
Testing in Ballarat has dramatically jumped over the last week with medical staff seeing around 200 people daily, up from around 120 per day.

If you are newly experiencing any of the following symptoms, it is important to be tested for COVID-19 without delay:

– Fever
– Chills
– Dry cough
– Sore throat
– Runny or stuffy nose
– Shortness of breath
– Loss of sense of smell

A referral is not required. As this is not a walk-up facility, appointments must be made by calling  43 11 1571.
