Ballarat's infamous trouble hot spot, Little Bridge Street, is set for a safety upgrade.
The City of Ballarat has received $450,000 from the Federal Government to install bollards, lighting and security cameras in the area from the Safer Communities Program.
Ballarat MP Catherine King has welcomed the spend saying the upgrade will go a long way to making the community feel safer.
“I am very glad to see Ballarat City Council receive this well deserved funding,” Ms King said.
“While the vast majority of our community do the right thing, there will always be a small minority who don’t.”
