Ballarat motorists are being warned that major delays are likely this weekend as road rehabilitation works close the outbound lanes of the Western Freeway at Derrimut.
The lanes from the M80 Ring Road Greensborough-bound towards Melton will close from 10pm Friday night until 5am Monday morning.
Motorists wishing to reach the Western Freeway or Fitzgerald Road should detour using Boundary Road and Robinsons Road, or via the M80 Ring Road and Ballarat Road.

Those travelling Altona-bound on the M80 Ring Road will still have access to Fitzgerald Road and the outbound lanes of the Western Freeway.
The Department of Transport says delays of up to an hour are expected.
