The Victorian Government is calling on construction companies to throw their hat in the ring to help deliver Ballarat’s 2026 Commonwealth Games Village.
Set to break ground later this year, expressions of interest are being sought from regional contractors for civil works across the sites in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong and Morwell, which could include bulk earthworks, installation of new drains and sewers, the relocation of power, gas and water, roads construction, general demolition, remediation and clearing works.
Around 1100 permanent homes will be created in total to home around 7,000 athletes.
The Ballarat construction site will be adjacent to the equestrian and industrial precincts, bounded by Latrobe, Brazenor, Winter and Learmonth Streets.
EOI submissions for the works can be made at the Buying for Victoria website.
