Benjamin Northey, the Ballarat born conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, will be front and centre at a special concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in December.
The former Ballarat and Clarendon College student will be conducting what’s being described as a ‘holy pop communion’ paying tribute to music icon, the late George Michael.
The show will feature 30 of his hits such as Careless Whisper, Faith and Freedom to be sung by the likes of Natalie Bassingthwaighte, David Campbell and Adam Thompson.
