Further searches for Samantha Murphy are expected to take place in the coming months, as tomorrow marks one year since the disappearance of the Ballarat mother.
The 51-year-old left her home to go for a jog on February 4th and was never seen again.
Despite multiple search efforts, police haven’t been able to find her remains.
23-year-old Patrick Orren Stephenson was charged with Ms. Murphy’s murder in March and has pled not guilty to the charge.
Police say they are continuing to liaise with the Murphy family, as the investigation remains ongoing.
In a statement, Detective Inspector Dave Dunstan from the Missing Persons Squad said they know Samantha’s death has had an enormous impact on the Ballarat community.
He said the squad remains committed to doing everything they can to find Samantha, and while a year has passed, they still believe they can locate her.
Anyone with information about Samantha’s disappearance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
