Record-breaking crowds filled the streets of Ballarat Central on Saturday for the first White Night event in the city since 2019.
An estimated 65,000 locals and tourists viewed the more than 40 projections that lit up Ballarat’s historic buildings.
The event also featured live music stages and a variety of food trucks.
It’s expected the event will generate up to $5 million for the Ballarat economy.
In a statement, Mayor of Ballarat, Des Hudson, said this year’s program was amazing and tapped into the local creative engine room of talented artists, musicians and culinary masters.
He said the crowd numbers will provide local businesses with an important and well needed economic boost.
