Ballarat high jumper Yual Reath is on the cusp of being selected for next month’s Paris Olympics.
Earlier this month, the 24-year-old took out the Oceania Championship title in Fiji, with a clearance of 2.28 metres, a personal best.
The result has leapt Yual into 10th place in the world rankings.

It’s been a stellar start to year for Reath, after he set a Ballarat Regional Athletics Centre open record during the state league athletics competition in February.
The Olympic qualification window closes at the end of this month, with three male high jumpers up for Australian selection.
