Move over Fed Square, Ballarat wants some of the Matildas action!

Ballarat locals are being encouraged to get behind the Matildas when they take on the English tomorrow night in the women’s World Cup semi-final.

If you’re prepared to rug-up council says it’ll show the game on its newly installed 5 metre LED screen in Alfred Deakin Place.

There’ll be food trucks and a coffee van, but you’ll need to bring your own chair.

The broadcast begins at 7.30pm.

The screen project was fully funded by the State Government’s COVID Safe Outdoor Activation Fund in 2021, targeting industries most impacted by the pandemic.
