Ballarat’s current Mayor has indicated he’s keen to go around again for another 12-month term in the cities top job.

Councillors will decide on Ballarat’s next Mayor and Deputy at a vote on November 13, ratepayers do not get a say.

Cr. Des Hudson says he believes there’s still much to do during his time in charge.

“Certainly, I think there’s some unfinished business, especially with a couple of the big projects and big strategic documents that I’ve been out trying to sell to the community.”

“Our draft housing strategy and of course curbside waste, I need to sell those particular issues with consultation over the next 12 months,” Mayor Hudson said.

Other councillors to indicate their intentions to this newsroom so far include Mark Harris, who’d like the top job, and Daniel Moloney, who wouldn’t.
