Members of the Ballarat Divisional Response Unit have swarmed a property north east of Ballarat seizing more than 2000 cannabis plants.
A warrant executed on a Leslies Lane property in Landsborough around 8am Tuesday uncovered 2177 plants housed across 10 greenhouses.
A 39-year-old Barkly man arrived at the property while investigators were on scene and was arrested.
Police searched his vehicle and allegedly located a firearm.
Investigators later searched a property on Johnsons Gully Road in Barkly and recovered four cannabis plants.
The man’s been bailed and will front Ballarat Magistrates Court on the 8th of May charged with:
• cultivating narcotic plant – (4 cannabis plants)
• non prohibited person possessing Cat A longarm
• non-prohibited person possessing cartridge ammunition
• handling stolen goods
• possessing cocaine
