A new location for the Ballarat Foundations Run for a Cause has been unveiled today.
Organisers have moved the event village to Lucas Town Centre from Victoria Park, with more on the route of the courses to be unveiled at tomorrow’s official launch.
The 2023 event will feature 12km and 6km courses as well as a kids dash.
“There’s no more iconic location in Ballarat than the Arch of Victory and we are very excited about
providing an opportunity to experience our new course in this year’s Run for a Cause,” said Ballarat Foundation CEO Andrew Eales.
“Participants get to experience the Avenue of Honour but importantly they will run or walk in the
knowledge that all the funds raised from this event will go back to community members who are in
dire need of support through the Ballarat Christmas Appeal.”
Entries for the event, which hopes to raise about $40,000 for the appeal, will open tomorrow.
