Liberal incumbent Louise Staley has this afternoon conceded the seat of Ripon, she’s also ruled herself out from running again.
Labor’s Martha Haylett winning by around 2500 votes with 53% of the two-candidate preferred vote.
Almost 90% of the ballots have been counted.

“My time in public life has now ended. I will not be a candidate in the future, but I look forward to backing the next Liberal candidate for Ripon and helping her or him win back the seat for the Liberal Party in 2026.”
“I congratulate Martha Haylett MP on her election,” Ms. Staley said in a statement.
