Thousands of locals are expected at Sovereign Hill’s famed Christmas shopping night on Friday.
Main Street will be transformed into a festive market featuring jams, sauces, chocolates and of course raspberry drops.
Head of Programming at Sovereign Hill Pete Taylor says it’s also a good opportunity to explore parts of the park at a time when it would normally be closed.
“We’ve had many thousands of people come over the years, we’re expecting between 3000 and 7000 this Friday.”
“And while there’s some great shopping that’s on offer, there’s also lots of the core activity that’s a little bit different after 6pm.” Mr. Taylor said.
The gates will open from 6pm, entry is free.
