A program allowing Ballarat residents to access free COVID rapid antigen tests will come to a close tomorrow.
As part of the State Government’s council RAT distribution program, the Sebastopol Library and the City of Ballarat’s Customer Service centre have been handing out free tests since January, with the initiative ending on June 30th.
More than 7,000 packets have been handed out in the region this year alone, equating to over 35,000 individual tests.
We’re not quite done with the pandemic as yet however with Ballarat reporting 57 new cases in the last 7- day reporting period.
All-time case numbers in the city now sit at 55,763, that’s about half of Ballarat’s total population.
