Daylesford death not being treated as suspicious at this stage – say detectives

Police now say the death of a man early Tuesday morning at Daylesford is not believed to be suspicious at this early stage.

Major Collision Unit detectives are investigating, believing he may have been hit by a car sometime between 6.10am and 6.30am.

A 58-year-old man from Creswick tried to resuscitate the victim on the scene but to no avail.

Detectives are hoping to speak to anyone who may have been driving on Bridport Street or may have seen a man behaving erratically in the area at the time.
