The placement of the proposed pedestrian overpass and lifts at Ballarat Railway Station will be on the council’s agenda tonight.
The State Government has released plans showing the infrastructure right next to the eastern wall of the main station hall last month.
The Government says the upgrades will help improve accessibility for those with a disability and passengers with prams and luggage.

The City of Ballarat say the designs are severe and unnecessarily bulky.
Council says the overpass should be located further away, and if endorsed at tonight’s planning meeting, will write a submission to Heritage Victoria to offer alternatives.
