A South Australian man driving a car held together with tape and cable ties has been caught by police.
Ballarat Highway Patrol officers saw the car on the Western Freeway in Middle Creek on Friday night, allegedly travelling in excess of 146 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone.
When the car was intercepted, police found the rear windscreen was shattered and the radiator was held together with the engine using ties and duct tape.
The 25-year-old Mount Gambier man had his licence suspended and will appear in court at a later date.
The car was impounded at a cost of over $1,600.
