Liberal leader John Pesutto says he understands the pressure Ballarat is under to keep up with its growing population.
The state opposition leader was in Ballarat yesterday to address members of Commerce Ballarat and the Committee for Ballarat after an invitation from Western Victorian MP Joe McCracken.
“I know from talking to local community leaders that the need for early childhood, maternal health, schools, particularly in Ballarat’s west but right across the region is going to be quite acute.”
“We need to deal with the issues now,” Mr. Pesutto said.
After about 6 months in the top job Mr. Pesutto says he plans to visit regional areas of the state, including Ballarat, often.
