Two of Ballarat’s brightest rowing stars are off to the Paris Olympic Games.

Katrina Werry and Lucy Stephan have been selected to be part of the Women’s Eight crew, coming after a recent win in the Rowing World Cup in Poland.

The duo will be among the 37-member Australian rowing squad, featuring 14 men and 23 women.

Meanwhile, a frustrated local coaching legend says he’s still in the dark about Olympic selection in athletics.

Paul Cleary says Ballarat high jumper Yual Reath is currently ranked as the 12th best jumper in the world, but still hasn’t been told by Athletics Australia if he’s off to the Olympics or not.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held between July 26 and August 11th.
