Ballarat has been named one of the country’s most snow-obsessed cities.
A study by website Snow Season Central analysed the amount of ski-related Google searches conducted by residents of some of the largest Australian cities.
Ballarat was ranked third highest, with almost 8,000 monthly searches for snow sport-related terms.

53 per cent of searches were for skiing and 47 per cent were for snowboarding.
