The City of Ballarat is seeking feedback on its Draft Customer Charter after it was ticked off by councillors at last week’s meeting.
The draft says you should expect a reply to a standard request in 3 business days, but if its more complex, referrals to third parties will begin in 10 business days.
City CEO Evan King says he thinks those timelines are fair given the volume of requests council receive.
“When you look at 80,000 phone calls, 35,000 digital requests, 23,000 emails and 5000 letters you understand that there is high volume coming in and out of the organisation.”
“I think that’s fair and reasonable because we also need to focus on what may be the outcome of those requests,” Mr. King said.
