A broken garage door at the rear of Ballarat’s troubled Gov Hub building is believed to be costing tax payers thousands of dollars a day.
Sources have told the newsroom that the door broke down almost three weeks ago and could only be opened by using a forklift, which in turn damaged it.
Security guards are now required to patrol the entrance around the clock with an insider claiming the cost could be as high as $3000 a day.

It’s understood only a handful of public servants are allowed to use the underground carpark, with reasons as to why still to be explained by the state government.
