Ballarat basketballers make stellar debut in China

Ballarat basketballers Sam Short (pictured) and Craig Moller have both made impressive debuts for NBL team Melbourne United.

MU is on a pre-season trip to China, where they defeated the Jiangsu Dragons in Nanjing late Wednesday - 85 to 72.

The score was neck-and-neck for most of the game, until MU raced ahead in the final moments.

Short and Moller scored 8 points each, making them names to watch this season.
